Some things simply can’t be found in a textbook—or at most schools. At Terra Verde, we’ve created a learning environment that honors curiosity, cultivates joy, and makes the most of every moment. Here, education is hands-on, heart-forward, and deeply connected to the world around us.
What sets Terra Verde apart?
70 Acres of Living Learning Space
Our campus includes two ponds, solar panel farms, a greenhouse, compost bins, outdoor classrooms, garden beds, fruit trees, eastern bluebird boxes, a mud kitchen, a zipline, and even goats and chickens—all designed to bring learning to life.
Core Virtues Program
Character development is embedded in everything we do. Our Core Virtues program helps students grow as kind, thoughtful, and responsible individuals.
Transitions Program (Grades 6–Age 22)
We are proud to offer a comprehensive program supporting students with disabilities as they gain academic, vocational, and life skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.
A Different Approach to Testing
Our assessment model looks beyond standardized state tests. We use meaningful, developmentally appropriate tools that reflect student growth, depth of understanding, and critical thinking.
Ecological Sustainability and Outdoor Learning
Students explore, investigate, and problem-solve in nature every day. From science lessons at the pond to reading beneath the trees, we believe outdoor learning builds both academic and environmental literacy.
Entrepreneurship Opportunities
Students are empowered to design, launch, and manage real-world ventures—building creativity, confidence, and leadership through hands-on business experience.
Balancing Rigor and Joy
We believe childhood should be filled with both challenge and delight. Our curriculum is rooted in high expectations, but never at the cost of creativity, play, or the simple joy of discovering something new.
At Terra Verde, students don’t just go to school. They live their learning—with purpose, with passion, and with possibility.
